Industry Minister stresses importance of Bahrain-US economic relations

Manama, Apr. 7 (BNA): Industry, Commerce and Tourism Minister, Zayed bin Rashid Al-Zayani, received here today the US Embassy Chargé d'Affaires Margaret Nardi, along with the Economic and Commercial Officer, Ryan Flory. The minister affirmed the importance of the relations between the two countries, especially in the economic field, noting that bilateral economic ties have been constantly strengthened by joint agreements, exchanged visits and various programmes. He highlighted the government’s praise of the efforts being exerted by the US Embassy to make optimum benefits from the Free Trade Agreement (FTA), signed by the two friendly countries, which contributed to increasing the volume of bilateral trade. The minister expressed full confidence in the continuity of joint cooperation for the sake of enhancing bilateral relations for the best interests of the two countries’ peoples.
