Information Minister congratulates leadership on AFC Cup

Manama, Nov. 5 (BNA): Minister of Information, Ali bin Mohammed Al Romaihi, extended congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, following the victory of Muharraq Club football team in the AFC Cup final. The Minister of Information also congratulated Muharraq Club Board Chairman and affiliates on the Asian achievement. He described the accomplishment as an extension of the kingdom’s achievements at the regional, Arab and international level. He commended the care and support of HM the King and HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister to the Bahraini sport, paying tribute to Personal Representative of HM the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS), HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the SCYS First Deputy Chairman and President of the General Sport Authority (GSA) and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), for their continuous follow-up. The Minister of Information praised the honorable level shown by Muharraq Club, commending the efforts of the players and technical and administrative staff which brought about the well-deserved achievement.
