Information Minister congratulates leadership on GCC Summit success

Manama, Dec. 7 (BNA): Information Minister Ali bin Mohammed Al Romaihi extended heartfelt congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, as well as the GCC leaders and peoples on success of the 37th GCC Summit. The minister lauded the outstanding coverage of the Manama summit by local, GCC, regional and international media through the facilities provided by the Information Ministry for more than 350 journalists and media figures from 52 GCC, Arab and international news agencies and press and media institutions. Al Romaihi lauded the summit's success in moving the GCC progress forward and unifying visions on regional and international issues. The minister stressed the major role of the state-of-the-art media centre in covering the event. conducting interviews and filing reports, pointing out to the close cooperation with the Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU) and the European Broadcasting Union (EBU). Officials from the ministry said that all kinds of media, technical and engineering services for the journalists and reporters who covered the 37th GCC Summit. The ministry said that live transmission of all the major events of the GCC Summit was readily provided to all ASBU members as well as GCC, Arab, European and Asian media.
