Information Minister pays homage to late servicemen

Manama, Dec. 16 (BNA): Information Affairs Minister and Board of Trustees Chairman of the Bahrain Institute for Political Development (BIPD), Ali bin Mohammed Al-Romaihi, has paid homage to the late servicemen who set the best religious, moral and humanitarian examples, through sacrificing their lives while defending the security and stability of the homeland, the safety of the citizens and residents, as well as Religion, the Right and the Arab Nation. Al-Romaihi extended sincere thanks and appreciation to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for his historic initiative of allocating a Commemoration Day as a token of appreciation to the lost servicemen of the Bahrain Defence Force, the Interior Ministry and the National Guard, in conjunction with the Anniversary of HM the King’s Accession to the Throne, which reflects the national cohesion, and the royal recognition of the lost servicemen’s sacrifices while defending the national banners, and championing the Arab Nation’s issues at the civil, military and humanitarian fields. The minister commended the efforts exerted by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and Prime Minister, for overseeing the Royal Martyrs of Duty Fund, and strengthening its role in taking care of the children and families of fallen servicemen and meeting their needs. He also praised the financial and moral support provided by the relevant government entities to the late servicemen’s families, as part of the kind initiatives of which Bahrain’s leadership, government and people are proud, and which prove the fallen servicemen’s distinguished status in the hearts of everyone. The Information Minister affirmed that the sacrifices of the martyrs of duty and their heroism will remain carved in the memory of the nation for generations to come, being beacons that will highlight the values of loyalty, giving and redemption, adding that the late servicemen are a role model for glory, dignity and courage established by the forefathers and grandparents.
