Information Minister receives WHO representative in Bahrain

Manama, Aug, 5 (BNA): Information Affairs Minister, Ali bin Mohammed Al-Romaihi, today received the World Health Organisation (WHO) Representative and Head of Office in Bahrain, Dr. Tasnim Atatrah, in the presence of the Health Ministry’s Assistant Undersecretary for Public Health, Dr. Mariam Al-Hajeri, and senior international health relations specialist, Ameera Nooh. The minister congratulated Dr. Tasnim Atatrah on her appointment to her post, praising the great role and tremendous efforts exerted by WHO to confront the novel Coronavirus pandemic, as well as its support for countries’ endeavours to improve their health services. He wished her every success in carrying out her new duties in the kingdom. WHO Representative and Head of Office in Bahrain expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to the Information Minister for the warm welcome, commending Bahrain’s distinguished efforts to combat the pandemic and curb its spread. She also wished the kingdom further progress and prosperity.
