Information Ministry praises Saudi keenness on pilgrims’ safety

Manama, June 14 (BNA): Information Affairs Minister Ali bin Mohammed Al Romaihi praised the decision taken by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to restrict the Haj season this year to its citizens and residents.
In a statement to Saudi daily “Okaz”, he said that the decision reflects the wise and humanitarian approach of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, in line with the Sharia precepts to perform the Haj rituals while protecting pilgrims’ security and safety.
He reiterated Bahrain’s full support to all decisions taken by Saudi Arabia, as well as the measures aimed to ensure a safe Haj season, in light of the COVID-19 surge of infections and the detection of new variants.
He extended thanks to all Saudi authorities and personnel of the Ministry of Haj and Umrah, security and health staff for the mandatory precautionary measures to protect pilgrims.
He praised the services and care provided the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to pilgrims and Umrah visitors to enable them to perform their rituals safely.
