Information ministry's media role praised

Manama, Nov. 23 (BNA): HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa representative of HM the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Youth and Sports and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee has expressed his appreciation to Information Affairs Minister Ali bin Mohammed Al Romaihi, of the images aimed to promote the Kingdom of Bahrain globally. The photos were selected by the Organising Committee of the 5th International News Agencies Assembly to be published on the cover of the main volume which includes the best photos provided by international news agencies under the umbrella of the Federation. The selection of the Bahraini pictures reflects the great efforts of the local media in keeping apace with the fast global media developments especially following the recent launch of the ministry's new strategy. HH Shaikh Nasser said the Bahraini media nowadays undergoes considerable development at various levels thanks to the huge support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa who believes in its role as a mirror that reflects the kingdom's development in all walks of life and projects the true image of Kingdom of Bahrain to the world. He highlighted the importance of the ministry's continuation of its progress to build a robust media organization that informs the world about Bahrain and its leading experiences in all fields. His Highness praised the fruitful, constructive cooperation between the 'Media Office of His Highness' and the Photography Section and the various departments of the Ministry of Information that contributed in the spectacular professional coverage of numerous events , stressing the significance of increasing the volume of cooperation between both sides and the intensification of efforts and working together under the one-team spirit to boost accomplishments. His Highness expressed his appreciation of the role of Bahrain News Agency (BNA) led by its Acting Director-General Mohannad Sulaiman Al Noaimi in the coverage of all events and functions in the Kingdom, praising the Photography Section in the Ministry of Information and both photographers Hamid Shihab and Sultan Al Haddad whose photographs had been selected to be posted on the cover of the global volume.
