Information MInistry's Undersecretary launches Bahrain TV, Radio app

Manama, Oct. 13 (BNA): The Information Affairs Ministry today launched the electronic platform, “Bahrain TV and Radio” for the broadcasting of radio and television channels, within the framework of the technical projects it is implementing to develop the media message in form, content and impact. While inaugurating the platform’s application, Information Affairs Ministry’s Undersecretary, Dr. Abdulrahman Mohammed Bahar, said that such a modern platform for the television and radio media content aims to reach all the users of smart devices, noting that it represents a quantum leap in the achievements of the information and communication sector. Dr. Bahar lauded the efforts of Team Bahrain at the Information Affairs Ministry, and praised the constant follow-up of Minister Ali bin Mohammed Al-Romaihi. He asserted that the launch of such an advanced application reflects the continuity of the development and modernisation process, as well as the tireless efforts made by Bahrainis despite the exceptional circumstances the country and the world are going through as a result of the outbreak of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). The Undersecretary stated that an integrated team from the General Directorate of Technical Affairs and the General Directorate of Radio and Television is in charge of the platform, working around the clock to update its content and ensure non-stop broadcasting. The platform provides live broadcasting of all Bahrain TV channels and radio stations, in addition to archival radio and television content materials which the application users may refer to at any time.
