Interior Minister receives former British Chief of Defence Staff

Manama, Jun 14 (BNA): Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa received retired General Sir Nicolas Carter, former British Chief of the Defence Staff , in the presence of Public Security Chief Lieutenant-General Tariq bin Hassan Al Hassan. The minister welcomed retired Gen. Carter, who arrived on a visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain, to exchange viewpoints. He hailed deep-rooted historic relations binding the two friendly countries, stressed mutual keenness on further bolstering joint ties towards achieving common interests, The two sides also discussed security issues and regional developments.
