Interior Minister receives US Coast Guard Commandant

Manama, June 16 (BNA): Interior Minister, General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, received Commandant of the United States Coast Guard, Admiral Linda Fagan. Deputy Chief of Public Security Major-General Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa and Coast Guard Commander Brigadier Jassim Mohammed Al Ghattam attended. The Interior Minister welcomed the US official for the visit to promote the exchange of views. He hailed strategic partnership and strong ties between the two countries. Both sides stressed the importance of promoting security cooperation to develop joint operations in maritime security and regional stability.
