Interior Minister visits US Customs and Border Protection Centre

Washington, June 30 (BNA): As part of an official visit to the United States and activation of the Global Entry agreement, Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa visited the US Customs and Border Protection Centre. Admissibility and Passenger Programs Executive Director Matthew Davies, who received the minister and his delegation, highlighted the importance of Bahrain joining the Global Entry Program that will be implemented in the coming weeks, demonstrating the strong ties between the two countries. Shaikh Rashid was briefed on the final stages of the program and he expressed his appreciation to the team managing and implementing it. He said that the program facilitates the entry of Bahraini nationals to the United States. Global Entry is a US Customs and Border Protection program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved travelers upon arrival in the United States. It includes reduced processing lines and access to expedited entry advantages in other countries at main US airports.
