International Balloon Festival in Hat Yai

SONGKHLA, Nov 11 (TNA) - The International Balloon Festival kicks off in Hat Yai, Songkhla today and will run through Sunday. Surapol Khamplanonwat, chairman of the Songkha Tourism Federation said that the annual festival is being held at Chira Nakorn stadium in Hat Yai municipality. It draws a number of tourists to view the colourful event every year. This year, varieties of hot air balloons from many countries including Brazil, Taiwan, Japan, Malaysia, Germany, Thailand, the US, Belgium and Vietnam will fly over the sky of Hat Yai in the international show. The activities in the Balloon Night Glow tonight feature Thai orchestra, electronic dance music, LED percussion plus balloon show from 4 pm to 10 pm. More than 35 food and drink booths are available for festivalgoers with the fruit buffet as one of the highlights. (TNA)
