International Photojournalists Program kicks off

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ ‘Mongolia Today’ program for international photojournalists initiated by the MONTSAME News Agency, United Association of Mongolian Photographers and the Council on National Brands commenced in Ulaanbaatar today, on October 8. The program is aimed at delivering positive image of Mongolia to the world and increasing photo archives of international media agencies. Deputy director of the MONTSAME News Agency Sh.Batbold and Head of the working group of the Council on National Brands N.Demberel delivered opening remarks. In his opening remarks, Mr. Sh.Batbold said “We have invited the photojournalists from our partnering agencies including TASS, Sputnik, Xinhua and Kyodo News. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the participants for accepting our invitation and wish you all the best in your future work. We hope you will have many wonderful photos of modern Mongolian history, culture, wild nature, development and people's lives, and spread it throughout the world.” A total of 14 national and international photographers will take photo tour in Ulaanbaatar- Tuv aimag- Darkhan Uul- Orkhon aimag route within the program. An exhibition featuring photographs of the tour will be displayed on October 14. Most of the participants said that they are excited to explore Mongolia and get familiar with Mongolian culture. ‘Mongolia Today’ will run for a week until October 15.
