International pupils’ conference
Astana, April 10, 2009 (Khabar) - The 5th international pupils’ conference entitled opening the world of science has taken place in Astana. Models of existing rockets and lunar rovers and space stations were all presented at the meeting. The Minister for Education and Science, Zhanseit Tuimebayev and Kazakhstan’s astronaut Talgat Musabayev were really impressed with the models and their design presented at the conference.
Zhanseit Tuimebayev, Minister for Education and Science of RK:
- All those handmade models we have seen today at this conference are really amazing. All of them are the models of existing planes, lunar rovers.
Soon the Republic is planning to launch a project stipulating that space sphere specialists will be trained in Kazakhstan’s universities. Such an announcement was made by the head of the Republic’s Space Agency, Talgat Musabayev. He knows that astronaut has to have a rich knowledge.

- I am proud of the projects that I have done. I did scientific programmes for such countries as Kazakhstan, Russia and the United States.
Participants in the conference said they would forever remember this intellectual conference of young constructors. On the outcomes of the conference, authors of the best projects were awarded with a scholarship which they can use for studying.
