Iran’s Culture Ministry to support productions on Persian Gulf

TEHRAN,April 30(MNA)--Iran’s Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Mohammad Hosseini said here on Saturday that his ministry would provide full support for the productions made on the Persian Gulf.
Speaking at the Persian Gulf Art and Culture Festival held in the port city of Bandar Abbas on the shores of the Persian Gulf on the occasion of Iran’s National Persian Gulf Day (April 29), Hosseini stressed that the artists with productions on Persian Gulf will be supported.
He added that Persian Gulf is Iran’s national identity and expressed hope that the festival will grow more and more in the coming years to cover all the provinces.
Several programs were arranged for the closing ceremony of the festival, which has been arranged in response to the distortion of the name of the Persian Gulf in some international circles in recent years.
Majid Mozaffari, the actor in the film “Battle of Oil Tankers” by Mohammad Bozorgnia and Hamid Bahmani, director of several other films on the Persian Gulf, were honored at the festival.
Documentary filmmakers Nasir Darvishzadeh, and Kurosh Garmsari, as well as Managing Director of the National Foundation for Computer Games Behruz Minaii were among other artists who were honored.
Also included was the unveiling ceremony of the “Persian Gulf” stamp, which was held on the side section of the festival.
The festival was brought to an end paying tribute to the directors of several provincial culture ministry departments who had cooperated in organizing the festival.
