Iran’s Kish Island hosts 2 int’l jewelry events

Kish, Nov 20, IRNA – The 4th International Exhibition of Gold, Jewelry, Silver, Watch, and Gemstones along with the First International Symposium on Gemstone Trading Focusing on Persian Piroozeh (Turquoise) and Agate kicked off in the Iranian southern island of Kish on Monday. The symposium hosts faculty members and businesspersons from various countries, who are to discuss the latest approaches and methods in designing, manufacturing, marketing, and global trade of gemstones. Some 15 experts and faculty members active in the field of jewelry and gemstones deliver speeches in the symposium. The symposium is aimed at promoting jewelry industry and trade, introducing domestic capabilities especially Kish Free Economic Zone, expanding exports, and making ground for stronger presence of Iran in international markets. An exhibition is also held along with the symposium, mainly focusing on the Persian turquoise and agate. The two events are taking place in Kish International Exhibition Center on November 19-22.
