Iran exports over 11.5bn worth energy, goods to Iraq

Arak, Jan 8, IRNA- Director of the Headquarters for Development of Iran's Economic Relations with Iraq and Syria Hassan Danaeefar announced that $ 11.5 billion worthgoods and energy have been exported to Iraq in the nine months of this current Iranian year (starting in March 21). Danaeefar added, '6.5 billion dollars worth of goods and 3.5 billion dollars of energy this year have been exported to Iraq.' He continued, 'Exports of goods from Iran to Iraq in the same period last year were 6.4 of billion dollars, which increased by 40 percent, despite the brutal sanctions this year.” The Iranian official said the export of goods from Iran to Iraq was expected to reach $ 8.1 billion by the end of this Iranian year. Danaeefar recalled that the cost of rebuilding Iraq after terrorism was about $ 300 billion and Syria was about $ 200 billion, due to various reasons, the Islamic Republic of Iran has more privileges and more capacity than other countries to attend these markets.
