Iran, Tajikistan Presidents To Attend Ceremony For Rumi

Ankara, Dec 16, IRNA – Turkey's public TV declared on Friday that presidents of Iran and Tajikistan will attend commemoration ceremony for the Persian mystic poet Rumi in the city of Konia at the invitation of Turkey's Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The TV in a report dubbed as 'surprise guests' said that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Tajik President Emomali Rahmon have accepted Erdogan's invitation. Commemoration ceremony for Rumi is held every year for ten days in the city of Konia in central Turkey. In the last night of the ceremony, which is the night before demise of Rumi and known as 'wedding night', Sufi music and dance would be performed./end
