Iranian author compiles world classic tales for children

TEHRAN,April 5(MNA) -- Iranian author Mohammad-Ali Kia has compiled some world classic stories and other fiction in a book for children. Entitled “New Era, Stories That Were Not Told by Grandmother”, the book will be released by the Amrud Publications in the foreseeable future. “In fact the book is a revision of ancient stories and fiction which all of us have heard about, but I try to modernize them for children,” Kia told the Persian service of the Mehr News Agency. The book contains 20 stories that are Iranian as well as world-renowned classic stories like “The Adventures of Pinocchio” and “Jack and the Beanstalk”. He said that he has been compiling the stories since autumn 2012 and added that the satire stories contain important messages for children.
