Iranian romance novelist Fahimeh Rahimi dies at 61

TEHRAN, -- The Iranian romance novelist Fahimeh Rahimi died of gastric cancer at a Tehran hospital on Tuesday. She was 61.
She was fighting with cancer for three years, her son Babak Shirazi told the Persian service of MNA on Tuesday.
She was admitted to the Mehr Hospital in late May and died at the hospital early morning on Tuesday, he added.
Born in Tehran, Rahimi gained fame with her popular romance-suspense books during 1980s and 1990s.
“Autobus”, “Love and Superstition”, “A Tower in Fog”, “Return to Happiness”, “Ariyana”, “Forget Autumn!”, “Nights of Loneliness” and “The Lady of Jungle” were among her credits.
She is survived by her son Babak and her daughter Baharak.
