Iran`s Bahram Azimi making animation teaser for cinema
TEHRAN,April 17(MNA) -- Animator Bahram Azimi is taking the helm of an animation project, which aims to encourage Iranian families to go to the cinema.
Entitled “Let’s Go to the Cinema”, the 100-second series contains 13 teasers which will be screened before each movie in theaters, Azimi told .
Sponsored by Farabi Cinematic Foundation, the animations are also due to be aired on TV, he added.
Each section will depict a lasting scene of a famous Iranian movie in the form of an animation, he said.
For example, the first section which lasts about seven to ten seconds is an adaptation of Ebrahim Hatamakia’s “The Glass Agency”. The movie tells the story of a war veteran living in post war Iran. It depicts veterans who are suffering from social problems after the war.
Azimi continued that a team of professionals are currently working on the project and the first part will be completed within the next month.
Azimi is mostly known for animated driving commercials he has made for the Iranian police. Huti and Sia Saketi, the two characters in the commercials, are very popular in Iran.
“Tehran 2121”, one of Iran’s biggest animated projects, and the 3D animation named “Masuleh” are among Azimi’s other credits.
