Iraq And China Discuss Preparations For The Session Of The Human Rights Council

Baghdad / NINA / - Ambassador Hisham Al-Alawi, Head of the Human Rights Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, met with Zhang Tao, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China, at the Ministry's headquarters. A statement by the ministry stated that during the meeting, aspects of cooperation and ways of developing bilateral relations between the two countries were discussed, and everything that contributes to deepening and strengthening them. The two sides also discussed the ongoing preparations for the 49th session of the Human Rights Council to be held in Geneva for the period from 02/28/2022 to 04/01/2022. The two sides agreed to coordinate efforts in order to reach outputs consistent with the interests of the two countries./End
