Islamic Awakening cartoon exhibition underway at Tehran center
TEHRAN,June 14(MNA) – A collection of cartoons created on the Islamic Awakening by an Omani artist is currently on display in an exhibition at Iran’s Journalism Forum in Tehran.
The collection comprises 22 cartoons by Said Bin Abdullah Al Daroudi, who attended an opening ceremony held for the show on Tuesday.
In a brief speech delivered at the ceremony, Al Daroudi expressed happiness in displaying his works in Iran and said that Iran is a country that has always been a pioneer in supporting Palestine.
He also talked about the oppression of the Palestinian people and said that the Zionist regime has not only been the source of the crisis in Palestine, but also has turned into a center destroying the entire region.
He regarded Islamic Awakening as a reality, which is still at the beginning of its way and needs to be promoted more.
Al Daroudi also said that in his opinion, Iran is a country that is distinguished in the region for its art and cartoons.
Deputy Culture Minister for Press Affairs Mohammad-Jafar Mohammadzadeh was also attending the opening ceremony.
The forum is located on Akbari St. Go north on Vali-e Asr Ave then bear to the left after passing Shahid-Beheshti St.
