Italy to host Iranian “Retrieved Statues” this summer

TEHRAN,April 10(MNA) -- Celebrated Iranian stage actor Qotbeddin Sadeqi will perform his “Retrieved Statues” in Italy in the coming summer. Sadeqi, who mostly refers to Persian classic texts and themes in his plays, focuses on his impressions of pre-history earthenware in “Retrieved Statues”. The play benefits from folk music from different parts of Iran as well as from folk dances. Renowned Iranian actor Behzad Farahani called this play a unique work in recognition of Iranian myths. The play went on stage at the Chaharsu Hall of Tehran’s Theater City Complex in December 2011. Mohsen Hosseini, Behruz Purborji, Mohsen Gudarzi, Nasser Ashuri, Elnaz Tarikhi, Nushin Tandasteh and Mahsa Khosravi are among the cast members of the troupe.
