Japan further to grant for busses to Vientiane
VIENTIANE,1.16.2012 (KPL)- Japanese Government has pledged to donate over 40 busses to Vientiane Capital, which expected to be replaced the expired public busses.
The commitment came out during a member of Upper House Councilors, Mr. Hirohiko Nakamura and his delegation called on Vientiane Mayor Soukanh Mahalath, in Vientiane Capital, on 11 January. On a three-day working visit of Japanese delegation to Laos held on 10-12 January.
Vientiane Mayor Soukanh gave warmly welcome and highly assessed the visit of Japanese delegations, contributing to the existing relation and cooperation between two countries.
Vientiane Mayor, representing the leaders and Vientiane residents has expressed thanks to Japanese Government and Japanese people for grant assistance, so far, especially Vientiane Capital.
There have been many cooperation and grant assistance projects, ranging from the grant of busses (they are on available service for passengers between Sikhay T-junction and the first Lao-Thai Friendship Bridge, urban water supply development projects, to Nongping New Urban Planning Development.
So far, Japanese entrepreneurs have also invested in many development projects in the Lao PDR, which has been granted via the Japanese International Cooperation Agency. Those projects have been successful and efficient.
