JICRC Executive Director praises King Hamad Global Award for Dialogue and Peaceful Coexistence

Manama, Nov. 4 (BNA): Executive Director of the Jordan Interfaith Coexistence Research Centre (JICRC), Father Nabil Haddad, has lauded the “King Hamad Global Award for Dialogue and Peaceful Coexistence”, considering it an important initiative that supports efforts to promote global peace. He stressed that as a Christian, he thinks that it is an important initiative that would bring about good for humanity. He added that as a jury of the “HM King Abdullah II World Interfaith Harmony Week Prize”, he believes that such awards entrench Arab thought, noting that the Bahraini Award aims to encourage working wisely for peace. He indicated that the “Bahrain Dialogue Forum: East and West for Human Coexistence", which concluded here today, is a major event that shapes the future, especially given the fact that it is held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, who has consolidated the principles of mercy and love in his country. He asserted that the Bahrain Dialogue Forum, attended by His Holiness Pope Francis, the Head of the Catholic Church and His Eminence the Grand Imam of Al Azhar, Sheikh Dr. Ahmed Al Tayeb, the Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders, who agree on the principles to achieve the best for the entire humanity, noting that the event conveyed a peace message from Bahrain to the whole world. Father Nabil Haddad said that everyone is required to follow up on the implementation of the peace message, adding that the call to end wars, stop conflicts and support peacemakers backs global efforts to achieve peace and spreads love and harmony.
