Jiu-Jitsu team’s achievement commended

Manama, Apr. 22 (BNA): His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Athletics Association, Honourary President of Bahrain Mixed Martial Arts Federation, sent a congratulatory telegram to the President and Members of the Bahrain Self Defence Association, on the occasion of the Jiu-Jitsu team achieving a new record to be added in the records of Bahraini Jiu-Jitsu, namely by achieving two gold medals and one bronze medal, in the Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu championship currently held in UAE. The message reads as follows: Esteemed HE Engineer Ahmed Abdulaziz Al Khayyat President of the Bahrain Self Defence Association Peace be upon you with the blessings of Allah, We are pleased to convey to Your Excellency, board members of the Bahrain Self Defence Association, technical, administrative members and the team members, our sincere congratulations to you on the occasion of athletes Mohamed AbuIdrees and Mohamed Ghareeb achieving two gold medals along with athlete, Ali Munfaredi who achieved a bronze medal in the Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu championship currently being held in UAE, with the participation of more than 7,000 players representing more than 100 countries. We commend the performance displayed by the champions during the championship and their determination and persistence in accomplishing this achievement which confirms the efforts of the President, board members, and the technical and administrative members.
