June 1 is Children Protection Day

Astana, June 02, 2009 (Khabar) - Members of “Nur Otan” party have congratulated children of orphanage of family type “Svetoch”. 34 children live here and they do everything together – tidy up the house, grow vegetables and cook food, they feel pride for each other and always support each other. “Svetoch” non-state orphanage is situated in suburb, Malotimofeyevka village. There are large class-rooms, bedrooms, library, game room, gym and conference hall here. Sponsors helped to make life of children more comfortable. Member of “Nur Otan” party presented trainers to children and Minister of Labor and Social Protection Gulshara Abdykalikova has presented a picture ad wished boys and girls kindness, success and good luck in studying. Today there are about 47 000 children in Kazakhstan who are left without parents’ care.

- The head of the state pays much attention to maternity and childhood and we took systematic measures. The President instructed us to consider possibility of stimulating of children’s adoption. And we together with authorized bodies will study how this can be done.
