Justice Minister chairs GCC meeting

Manama, Oct. 13 (BNA): Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Minister, Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa, has chaired the seventh meeting of the ministers responsible for Islamic affairs and endowments in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, held remotely today. Addressing the session, Shaikh Khalid bin Ali welcomed the GCC ministers, stressing the importance of enhancing cooperation and exchanging expertise in the field of Islamic affairs to support and develop the Islamic endowments sector so as to increase its contributions to the sustainable development process. The meeting covered a number of topics on its agenda, foremost of which is renewing the concept of religious discourse, cooperation in the field of endowments and Islamic affairs, and the exchange of scientific research and experiences in the endowment field among the GCC countries.
