KAICIID Secretary-General praises HRH Premier’s sustainable development efforts

Vienna, Mar. 22 (BNA): Shaikh Hussam bin Essa Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Prince Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa Award for Sustainable Development, met today the Secretary-General of the International Centre for Interreligious and Interfaith Dialogue (KAICIID), Mr. Faisal bin Abdulrahman bin Muammar. They discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the two sides in achieving their common goals. Shaikh Hussam praised the King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz International Centre for Dialogue among Religions and Cultures in the light of its humanitarian mission to promote a culture of dialogue and cooperation that benefits mankind. He conveyed the greetings and appreciation of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, as well as his appreciation of the late King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz for his noble and courageous positions in supporting Arab and Islamic issues. He stressed that His Royal Highness the Prime Minister shared with the late King Abdullah bin Abdulazziz the same visions and policies on the importance of unity and rapprochement among peoples as a basis for supporting development and stability efforts, adding that HRH Premier still remembers him with all love and appreciation his stances in support of Arab and Islamic nations and culture of interfaith dialogue. During the meeting, they discussed cooperation between the Centre and the management of HRH Prince Khalifa Bin Salman Award for Sustainable Development and participation in the annual Bahrain Forum in New York, which will be held in conjunction with the meetings of the UN General Assembly and with the participation of international political elites to discuss ways to establish security and stability in the world. Mr. Faisal Bin Abdulrahman bin Muammar welcomed the cooperation with His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa Award for Sustainable Development, in light of the successes achieved by the award in supporting the efforts of countries and individuals in the field of development. He also welcomed the invitation to the centre to participate in the annual Bahrain Forum in New York at its next session. He also praised the pioneering role played by His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister and his keen efforts to guide the international community to establish the foundations of a global order of peace and stability as necessary prerequisites to support development efforts. He affirmed that his vision of supporting dialogue and coexistence among civilisations and cultures reflects His Highness's great awareness of the nature of the challenges facing the world. During the meeting, a documentary about the achievements of HRH the Prime Minister in the field of sustainable development, and his efforts exerted to promote the progress of the Kingdom of Bahrain was screened. It also shed light on the HRH Prince Khalifa Bin Salman Award for Sustainable Development, which came at the initiative of the Premier and its successes over the years. The King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz International Centre for Interreligious and Interfaith Dialogue is an international organisation founded in 2012 by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Republic of Austria and the Kingdom of Spain, in addition to the Vatican as a founding member. It seeks to advance the process of dialogue and understanding among followers of different religions and cultures, to promote a culture of respect for diversity and to establish the rules of justice and peace among nations and peoples.
