Khalid bin Hamad receives writer

Manama, Oct. 9 (BNA): His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Athletics Association, at his majlis in Riffa, received writer and director, Ahmed Yaqoob Al Muqla, who gifted His Highness with a copy of poetry book "Shat Al Walah", which was edited by Mohsen Al Omri. The book is a bouquet of poems by Ahmed Al Muqla, which includes anti-Semitic feelings of the author. It speaks of the inheritance of culture in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the nobility and originality of Bahrainis, in an easy and fun manner at the same time. The poems are merged in a beautiful poetic way, as the writers captured the beauty in the same angles as his previous artistic works. HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa thanked Al Muqla for this artistic gift, praising the concept of the book which shows the reality of Bahrain and its people through folk poetry. His Highness expressed his appreciation of the efforts of Al Muqla in promoting the arts movement in in the Kingdom and GCC countries, bydirecting many successful TV shows such as Sa'adoon and Niran. His Highness wished success for the director in his future endeavors. For His part, Al Muqla thanked HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa for supporting the arts movement in the Kingdom through many initiatives, most notably, Khalid bin Hamad Youth Theater Award, which is clear proof of the support towards theatre in the Kingdom. The initiatives of His Highness contribute towards the emergence of youth talent in theatrical arts, which is the father of arts and a gateway for them to launch a career in arts. Al-Muqla said that the support of His Highness, is an incentive for all writers and motivation to work on publishing everything that is good and which helps the progress of this country.
