Khalid bin Hamad's youth initiatives praised

Manama, Dec. 14 (BNA): Zayed Alzayani, Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism praised the launch of the Khalid bin Hamad Award for Unique Graduation Projects under the slogan #creating_innovation, expressing his appreciation of the role of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Athletics Association, for supporting youth talents and launching activities that aim to embrace youth with the goal of refining their talents, so they become an important aspect in the Kingdom's development. The minister expressed his delight at University of Bahrain efforts represented by its president Dr. Riyadh Hamza, the academic, professional and organization staff, in finding the link between the university and its institutional and civil surroundings to achieve goals that go in line with the labour market. He also received an invitation from the Scientific Committee to head a discussion panel by Media Professor, Hussain Saeed, who will discuss several topics relating to Bahrain Economic Vision 2030. The panel will be held at the University of Bahrain on Thursday, December 21. The discussion panel chaired by the minister will include many topics on directions and economic development of the vision of Bahrain 2030. Basic principles for honest competition will be set for the student's graduation projects requirements, His Excellency will explain integration of the graduation projects in the labour market to meet its requirements and he will give a detailed presentation about the importance of innovation in enterprises and how to promote it. It’s worth mentioned that HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa launched the first edition of this award for students from Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology at the University of Bahrain, but His Highness directed the second award to be open to all universities in the Kingdom. The forum comes as part of the scientific initiatives of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa as His Highness is keen on supporting the scientific field for students through an event that has wide participation from Bahraini youth.
