King’s speech at joint Cabinet-SDC meeting praised

Manama, May 16 (BNA): The Bahrain Free Labour Unions Federation (Al-Hurr) has lauded the keynote speech delivered by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa while chairing the Joint Cabinet-Supreme Defence Council (SDC) meeting recently. Al-Hurr affirmed that all its affiliates would stand behind HM the King’s leadership, stressing its full-fledged support for the decisions taken by HM King Hamad for the sake of safeguarding the nation and ensuring the cohesion of the internal front in the face of attempts to sow sedition and subvert national unity. The royal speech reflects HM the King’s spirit of responsibility towards protecting the region against the malicious attempts made by some countries and parties that strive to undermine national security, harm the country’s interests and impede its progress march, Al-Hurr said, stressing that preserving national security and combating violence, extremism and terrorism are fundamental issues. Al-Hurr called on all Bahraini citizens to rally together, cement national unity, strengthen the internal front and stand united behind HM the King’s leadership, in light of the difficult circumstances, the escalating crises and the abhorrent acts of violence and terrorism carried out by Iran and its militias against the GCC countries and the Arab region to subvert their security and stability. Al-Hurr expressed full confidence in the Bahraini people’s unity and strength, as well as in the efficiency of the kingdom’s security institutions, particularly the Bahrain Defence Force and the security authorities, which, Al-Hurr said, are capable of confronting any attempts to destabilise the country, Al-Hurr voiced full support for any step aimed at confronting terrorism and violence, and maintaining the security and stability of Bahrain, in addition to those of brotherly GCC, Arab and Islamic countries. The Bahrain Free Labour Unions Federation called on all platforms, entities and institutions to adopt clear and explicit stances against terrorist operations, conspiracies and interference in the kingdom’s internal affairs, in an attempt to undermine its security and stability, stressing that there is no room for compromising the security and stability of the country for narrow sectarian interests. Al-Hurr expressed full confidence that HM the King’s wisdom and the Bahraini people’s cohesion and rallying behind HM’s leadership will contribute to overcoming the crisis, facing conspiracies, defending the nation and safeguarding its security and stability.
