King deputises Personal Representative to open art show

Manama, Feb.18 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa deputised his Personal Representative His Highness Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al-Khalifa to open the exhibition of Russian painter Nikas Stepanovich Safronov at the Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay. The Bahrain Authority for Culture and Authority (BACA) is organizing the art exhibition in cooperation with the Russian Embassy in Manama. The Personal Representative was welcomed at the venue by BACA President Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al-Khalifa, Capital Governor Shaikh Hesham bin Abdulrahman Al-Khalifa. Senior officials, diplomats, guests and fine artists were also present. The Personal Representative toured the exhibition which showcased twenty-one artworks. The Russian artist presented HH Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al-Khalifa with a gift on this occasion. The Personal Representative hailed the artistic strides in the prosperous era of HM the King, paying tribute to Bahrain fine artists for their successful works and outstanding participations all over the world. “In the prosperous era of HM the King Bahrain encourages art and creativity which reflects the Kingdom authentic art”, he said, stressing the importance of art in spreading peace between cultures and societies”. He wished Nikas Stepanovich Safronov success, stressing the importance of the exhibition which reflects strong bilateral relations binding the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Russian Federation. He thanked BACA President for holding the outstanding show, hailing her strenuous efforts to organize festivals and exhibitions and build bridges with other cultures. He also commended the Russian Embassy for its cooperation to hold the exhibition. Russian artist Nikas Stepanovich Safronov extended sincere thanks to HM the King for patronizing the exhibition, which reflects the royal care and keen interest in art. He also expressed thanks to HH Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al-Khalifa for opening the exhibition on behalf of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa. . BACA President Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al-Khalifa thanked the Personal Representative for supporting cultural activities, hailing the wise leadership for the dedicated efforts to put Bahrain on the map of regional and international maps.
