King hails Bahrainis' loyal stances

Manama, Jan. 23 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa took pride in the honourable stances of the people of Bahrain toward their homeland and leadership, as well as their constant contributions towards promoting its standing and defending the civilizational achievements.
HM the King today at Safriya Palace received Supreme Committee's President of the National Unity Assembly (NUA), Dr. Shaikh Abdullatif Mahmoud Al-Mahmoud, and the accompanying delegation, who expressed thanks and appreciation to HM the King for patronizing the Gulf Union Conference themed (Future and destiny), which was held in Bahrain last November 12-13, 2016.
HM the King welcomed the delegation and praised its sincere efforts in staging the conference that attracted a large attendance and participation of an elite group of GCC speakers. HM the King lauded the NUA's role in bolstering principles of the national action and belonging. He stressed that Bahrainis have always stemmed there power from values of fraternity, coexistence and moderation.
HM the King highlighted the national unity as the homeland's invincible bulwark, noting the enormous achievements made though history thanks to the spirit of fraternity, coexistence enjoyed by the people of Bahrain whose resolve will always lead them to overcome crises, and that Bahrain as always remains a place to embrace everyone who works for its good without discrimination.
HM the King stressed Bahrain's resolve to continue the march of development and modernization to bring more development accomplishments and further strengthen principles of citizenship based on justice, equality and equal opportunities.
NUA Supreme Committee President Dr. Al-Mahmoud extended to HM the King greetings from the participants in the two-day conference which convened last November. He underscored the importance of the conference which, he said, reflects a farsighted royal vision that grasps the current critical situation facing the Arabian Gulf as well as the designs preying on the security and stability of this vital region, whether in the past, present or future.
He hailed the royal initiative which embodies the importance attached to the call made by late King Abdulla bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud to achieve the full-fledged Gulf Union – a call which was backed by HM the King in his keynote address marking the National Day on December 16, 2013.
He hailed HM the King's repeated calls to achieve the vital Arabian Gulf Union as well as his dedicated efforts to attain this goal which represents the cornerstone to the future of this highly vital and strategic region and the whole nation.
Dr. Al-Mahmoud paid tribute to His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, hailing their dedicated efforts to meet the goals enshrined in the reform project and achieve sustainable development.
Dr. Al-Mahmoud reiterated thanks and appreciation to HM the King for patronising the conference, vowing unwavering resolve to continue the march forward, under the wise leadership, to achieve national security, stability, progress and sustainable development.
