King Hamad Award for Youth Empowerment highlighted in New York

Manama, Feb. 8 (BNA): During the opening session of the sixth UN Economic and Social Youth Forum held at the UN Headquarters in New York, the Council of Representatives highly praised the launch of HM King Hamad Award for Youth Empowerment to achieve sustainable development goals. The Representatives Council welcomed the royal initiative that aimed at encouraging the youth of the world to actively contribute to the sustainable development process in various fields at local, regional and international level. It commended the royal leadership and government's confidence in the youth to play their role in the process of future nation-building. It reiterated commitment to embrace the Bahraini youth and to provide legislative and laws to interpret the royal directives on promoting the Bahraini youth for enhancing Bahrain's standing in various fields.
