King Hamad Chair inauguration lauded

Manama, Nov. 17 (BNA): The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, affirmed that the inauguration of the King Hamad Chair in Interfaith Dialogue and Peaceful Co-existence at the Sapienza University in Rome, which is one of the oldest European universities, is a vital step to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s vision in establishing tolerance and coexistence among different cultures and peoples, it is also considered an embodiment of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s openness to the whole world, as it occupies an active role in enhancing understanding, communication and dialogue among all. The Minister of Foreign Affairs added that this significant achievement targets the youth in particular, as His Majesty the King considers them the foundation of progress and development in any society and are important pillars in the achievement of sustainable development. The Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed that this Royal Initiative will have a great impact on bringing together cultures, positive dialogue among civilizations and rich interaction between peoples and societies, especially that the Kingdom of Bahrain acts as an effective and rich model that aims to benefit the whole world. This initiative will also serve as a reference and a source of inspiration for many similar international contributions in light of the challenges and threats humanity faces. The Minister of Foreign Affairs conveyed his sincere thanks and gratitude to His Majesty the King for his keenness to provide pioneering international initiatives, commending his efforts to achieve international solidarity, promote peace and security and ensure peaceful coexistence among the countries of the world.
