King Hamad Global Centre praises UAE's efforts to promote tolerance

Manama, Feb. 6 (BNA): Bahrain's King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence has issued, marking the visit of His Holiness Pope of the Vatican to Abu Dhabi and the Proclamation of "Human Fraternity" Document with the Grand Imam of Alazhar, the following statement:. "The world witnessed the noble efforts made by the United Arab Emirates in its reception and hosting The Vatican pope, His Holiness Pope Francis, which we consider as a great initiative and a superb step in the service of tolerance, peace and human coexistence that unified the Two Symbols of Islam and Christianity. "We, at the King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence, support this initiative in all its bearings that has opened a new chapter on the path of tolerance and human fraternity. We are in dire need for all joint efforts that serve the aspirations of all peoples for peaceful coexistence and stability of the region and combating all attempts of diffusing hatred, violence, extremism, and destruction values of international peace. We would also like to express our full support of the document of "Human Fraternity" inaugurated by the Grand Imam of Alazhar, Dr. Ahmad Al-Tayeb and His Holiness Pope Francis. The articles of this document affirm that tolerance and peaceful coexistence between the peoples of the world is an inevitable fate, and a sublime and noble goal. This goal is encompassed by the profound faith in unity and human fraternity safeguarded by Providence Divine. "From the perspective of the principles of the 'Kingdom of Bahrain Declaration' expressed by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of Kingdom of Bahrain, inspired by his philosophy and vision of human values, and our remarkable history, we stand as brothers and partners with all that the United Arab Emirates endeavors in The Year of Tolerance towards a tolerant world, where all live without hatred, injustice or discrimination, unified by the sole goal of survival for the service of humanity and its existence. "We would also confirm that faith in the Divine Being and human existence are the essence of all pure religious beliefs, and that urging all human beings to believe in an eternal faith is a necessity of survival. This requires sparing no efforts in safeguarding it against forgery, misinterpretation and abuse that detract them from the right path of tolerance and fraternity. Peace be upon all."
