King visits Royal Palace in Bangkok

Bangkok, May 5 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa paid a visit today to the Royal Palace in the Thai capital, Bangkok, within the framework of his visit to Thailand. He was welcomed on arrival by mainly Grand Chamberlain of the Bureau of the Royal Household Dr. Chirayu Isarangkun Na Ayuthaya. HM the King wrote in the Visitors' Book: "We would like to extend our heartfelt condolences and profound sympathies to His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun, Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, and all members of the Royal Family as well as the Government and the people of the Kingdom of Thailand over the loss of His Majesty Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand, the world’s longest reigning monarch. "His Majesty King Bhumibol will long be remembered and respected both in the Kingdom of Thailand and around the world for his initiative and devotion to the eradication of poverty and the promotion of social and economic development to improve the lives of his people and country, as well as for his contribution to world peace and stability."
