Kingdom's embassy in Washington celebrates National Days

Washington, Dec. 12 (BNA): Bahrain's Ambassador to the United States, Shaikh Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, along with members of the Kingdom's diplomatic mission received congratulations from US administration officials, members of Congress, senior officers, diplomatic corps, business leaders and other friends of Bahrain. The ambassador hosted a reception on the anniversary of the establishment of the modern state of Bahrain as an Arab and Muslim country in 1783 by its founder Ahmed Al Fateh, the 45th Anniversary of its accession to the UN as a full member, and the 17th Anniversary of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's Accession to the Throne. In this context, the ambassador expressed his pride in the prosperity era of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa al Khalifa, citing His Majesty's ongoing reforms and advancement in all walks of life in the country of the institutions and the law wherein human rights are respected, sustainable development, dignified livelihood for citizens ensured as well as a promising future and more achievements being accomplished. He said this celebration reflects the deep-rooted bilateral ties and the strategic alliance between Bahrain and the United States of America in the light of current security challenges in the region, and the need to continue the cooperation to preserve the security and stability of the region in addition to combating terrorism and extremism in all of its forms and manifestations.
