KL Pledges Continued Support For Bosnia And Herzegovina

KUALA LUMPUR, May 14 (Bernama) -- Malaysia has made investments in Bosnia and Herzegovina aimed at strengthening the socio-economic foundation of the country towards growth and prosperity, it was stated Tuesday. Malaysia's permanent representative to the United Nations Ramlan Ibrahim said Malaysia's investments in the Balkan country were in the areas of real estate, construction, energy, education and capacity building. "We have long supported the country in its reconstruction after the war and will continue to do so," he said in a statement at the UN Security Council debate on Bosnia and Herzegovina in New York. Ramlan noted that getting the participation of the main ethnic groups would prove to be a win-win formula for all to ensure a united, stable and prosperous future for Bosnia and Herzegovina. -- BERNAMA
