KL Tower To Maintain Number Of Base Jumpers At 120 Next Year

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 4 (Bernama) -- Menara Kuala Lumpur (Menara KL) will retain the number of participants in the KL Tower International Jump Malaysia (KLTIJM) 2017 at 120 people next year, said its Chief Executive Officer Meor Shahril Anuar Ahmad Rathuan. The annual event which will be in its 17th year is scheduled to be held on Sept 29 until Oct 2 next year. "We stress on safety and the quality of base jumpers who are selected, and the capacity which is most suitable at this time is only 120 people," he told reporters when met at the closing ceremony of KLTIJM 2016 here Monday. He said the event this year had 115 participants from 24 countries, the most since the 16 years it has been held. He added that this year, the event recorded 3,704 jumps, and the base jumper with highest number of jumps was Maurice Mahieu from France (photoBERNAMA). -- BERNAMA
