Labour Minister meets Islamic Society chairman

Manama, Feb. 16 (BNA): Labour and Social Development Minister, Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, met the Board of Directors Chairman of the Islamic Society, Dr. Abdullatif Mahmood Al-Mahmood. The Islamic Society’s charity activities, and contributions to promoting the principle of community partnership, in cooperation with the relevant authorities, including the Labour Ministry, were reviewed. The minister lauded the Islamic Society’s innovative activities and initiatives, stressing full support for civil society orgnaisations. Al-Mahmood lauded the Labour Ministry’s unlimited support for charity societies, affirming that constructive cooperation between the Ministry and those societies has contributed to delivering the best social services. He also commended the facilities provided by the Labour Ministry to charitable and humanitarian work in the kingdom.
