LATVIAN MINISTER OFFERS MONGOLIA TO USE RIGA FOR FLIGHTS TO EUROPE

Latvian Minister offers Mongolia to use Riga for flights to Europe Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Latvia has offered Mongolia to used Riga as an intermediate point for flights to Europe, the Ministry of Transport of Latvia informed the business portal nozare.lv on May 26. The offer was made during Transport Minister Anrijs Matiss' meeting with Mongolian Minister of Transport A.Gansukh at the International Transport Forum that took place in Leipzig May 21-23. The ministers noted the high potential of both countries in the trucking sector, including via the Chinese-European supply chains. Considering comprehensive reforms to the Mongolian transport system, Mr Gansukh said Mongolia is interested in establishing a closer cooperation with Latvia.
