Lawmakers to participate in AP programme

Manama, Feb.21 (BNA): A number of lawmakers and employees at the Council of Representatives General Secretariat will take part in the Arab Parliamentary Diplomacy Programme. The Council of Representatives Speaker Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal directed to participate in the scheme, being organized by the Arab Parliament to enable lawmakers to serve as ambassadors for their countries in regional and international arenas. Participants will obtain professional diplomas in economics and political science from the Faculty of Economics and Political Science at Cairo University, approved by the Egyptian Supreme Council of Universities and certified by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs The Arab Parliament launched the first applied diploma on Arab parliamentary diplomacy last week. The first version of the programmes includes nearly 100 Arab parliamentarians from 16 Arab countries.
