Leaders of CIS and SCO youth parties meet in Astana
Astana, October 29, 2009 (Khabar) - The city of Astana has been the venue for a meeting of leaders of the CIS and Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) youth parties. The discussion floor was organised by the Nur Otan People’s Democratic Party which is a nice opportunity for 12 member states to share their opinions and experience on different topics and generate suggestions regarding youth integration in Eurasia.
Darkhan Kaletayev, First deputy chairman, Nur Otan People’s Democratic Party:
- The youth policy is vivid itself and it develops very dynamically. Generally, it has an influence on processes which take place in society. The issues which are on the agenda of today’s meeting are of global significance for all countries.
Oleg Rozhnov, deputy minister for Sport, tourism and youth policy of Russia:
- We have a bright future in terms of our youth policy. I think that today’s meeting will help us make this work even more effectively.
Participants in the meeting also discussed anti-crisis measures, issues of youth entrepreneurship, and the project of international youth cooperation in the CIS.
