Leaders congratulated on Asian handball title

Manama, Sept. 27 (BNA): Secretary-General of the Supreme Defence Council (SDC), Lieutenant-General Shaikh Daij bin Salman Al Khalifa, has extended deepest congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, following Bahrain’s winning the 2018 Asian Men's Junior Championship for the second time, and qualification for the World Cup. The great exploit embodies the constant care enjoyed by the sports sector in the kingdom, he said. The SDC secretary-general also congratulated the Representative of HM the King for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sport Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee President, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, on the prestigious Asian title, noting that the achievement was the fruitful result of HH Shaikh Nasser’s support and motivation of Bahraini athletes at various sports gatherings. Lt-General Shaikh Daij asserted that Bahrain’s qualification for the World Cup reflects the major strides made by the Bahraini sport at all levels.
