Leaders exchange congratulations on new legislative session

Manama, Oct. 11 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today received a cable of congratulations from His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa on HM the King’s opening of the third session of the Fifth Legislative Term of the National Assembly. HRH Premier extended sincere congratulations to HM the King for patronising the opening of the new session of the Representatives and Shura councils, held virtually, which, he said, reflects the royal sound approach of continuing to strengthen the democratic and development marches in order to bring about more gains to the kingdom. The Prime Minister lauded the keynote speech delivered by HM the King, citing the royal directives to carry on the national march in order to enhance the kingdom’s progress, and support education, health security and youth empowerment. HRH Premier expressed deep pride in HM the King’s praise of the government’s readiness and tireless efforts, affirming the government’s determination to harness all its potentials in order to address the impacts of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) to preserve the health and safety of the citizens and residents, alleviate the burdens of the pandemic’s effects on the citizens, and at the same time, maintain the growth of the national economy. The Prime Minister renewed resolve to continue implementing the royal directives of enhancing cooperation with the Legislative Branch in a way that would support the comprehensive development march, achieve HM the King’s sound visions, protect national security and stability and consolidate efforts to achieve sustainable development. HRH Premier prayed to Allah the Almighty to bless HM the King with abundant health, happiness and long life so as to continue the progress march in the kingdom. HM King Hamad sent a reply cable of thanks to HRH Premier, stressing that the Prime Minister has contributed significantly to strengthening the democratic march and ensuring decent life for the citizens. HM the King wished HRH Premier abundant health and wellness. HM King Hamad also received a cable from His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, congratulating him the inauguration of the third session of the Fifth Legislative Term which he described as a new chapter in Bahrain’s approach in enhancing popular participation in the democratic process, spearheaded by HM the King. HRH the Crown Prince lauded HM the King’s all-inclusive national keynote speech, describing it as a roadmap to continue the royal prosperous era which has strengthened Bahrain’s leadership in reforms, development, democracy, equal opportunities and unwavering efforts to achieve economic growth for the benefit of the citizens and the nation. HRH the Crown Prince affirmed that under the leadership of HM the King, Bahrain has become a role model for Good, peace, good neighbourliness, development and achievements. HRH the Crown Prince stressed that Bahrain’s advanced international status regarding its best practices in combating the pandemic is in line with Team Bahrain’s loyalty to HM the King and keenness to protect the citizens and residents. HRH Crown Prince affirmed that HM the King’s orders and directives are national priorities in order to ensure speedy economic recovery, as well as consolidate pre-emptive health security, food self-sufficiency, digital transformation, youth empowerment and investment in value-added fields, while taking into consideration environmental changes. HRH the Crown Prince renewed allegiance to HM the King, and expressed unwavering determination to continue achieving more progress and prosperity to the cherished homeland.
