Liferiver Inc Ready To Supply Covid-19 Test Kits

KUALA LUMPUR, March 31 (Bernama) -- US-based leading biotech firm Liferiver Inc is ready to supply up to three million COVID-19 RT-PCR test kits per month to Malaysia if the Ministry of Health (MoH) intends to purchase them for clinical use. According to a statement from Silver Stream Sdn Bhd -- the company appointed as the authorised distributor of the test-kits in Malaysia -- unlike the Rapid Test Kit, Liferiver's Real-Time PCR test kit is of Nucleic Acid Test amplification. It has high sensitivity as well as specificity, and demonstrated its capabilities in China where it had the highest detection accuracy in almost all the tests conducted by the disease control centres and hospitals across the country. “Our COVID -19 Test Kit is a Real-Time Multiplex RT-PCR kit using the Nucleic Acid Test amplification method which is able to detect the disease within two hours by identifying three of its distinctive genes with almost 100 per cent accuracy level,” the company said. Liferiver had registered its Covid-19 RT-PCR test kit with the United States’ (US) Food and Drug Administration and the World Health Organisation, and the test kits are currently being exported to over 40 countries worldwide, including the US, European Union and Asian countries.
