Maan programme delegation takes part in US conference

Washington, June 29 (BNA) : A delegation from the Maan (Together) programme against violence and addiction, chaired by the Director of the Programme, has participated in the 32nd D.A.R.E. International Training Conference in Phoenix, Arizona, the United States. The delegation conveyed the greetings of Head of Maan Committee, Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa. The event discussed procedures to renew the accreditation certificates and the required standards for the Regional Centre to Fight Violence and Addiction in the Middle East and Asia 2019-2023. A memorandum of understanding was signed in 2015 for Bahrain to be a regional centre for the US-based Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E) for the Middle East and Asia. The delegation also participated in a workshop, highlighting the achievements of the Bahraini team, such as the new curriculum in Bahrain and the proposal to train all countries that will take part in 2020 conference on the curriculum.
